Since the start of the year we have been under the influence of a cold northerly airflow. This has brought bright, cloud free and sunny days but also cold nights. It looks as though this pattern will remain for another two weeks or so.

Winter is upon us. Some trees are now completely bare, whilst others have just a few which are still clinging on.
The autumn is moving very quickly towards winter. Those leaves which are still left are changing to their brilliant autumn hues but many have already been shed, leaving just bare branches.
