Autumn flowers seem to shine in the bright sunshine we get at this time of year.
The Medicane this week has brought a little cloud and with it some lovely sunset and sunrise colours.
The soft fruit season is almost at an end for this year. Next we look forward to Pomegranates and Citrus.
There are a few visiting yachts moored in Stari Grad harbour. However it is nowhere near the number normally seen at this time of year. Also there is not a single “superyacht” which is very unusual.
We have passed the northern Summer Solstice, and at the end of June, there are just six months to go before we are in winter. Brrrr.
I have Dragon Arum in flower at the moment. They look beautiful but smell dreadful!
The courtyard is almost finished! The stones sets need to be laid, and some paint will have to be applied to a wall, but the end in in sight…
Every garden needs something a little different, spectacular even. If you can’t get a Triffid seed, then try and Echium “Blue Steeple”.
As someone pointed out last week, a weed is just a plant in the wrong place. Here I have some I am leaving to naturalise in their environment.
