I’ve succumbed – 2022/46
Our winter rains have arrived at last, so “rain stopped play”.
We are rapidly approaching the mid winter solstice, and yet the weather is still much warmer than normal. I am taking advantage of every day!
After an exceptionally dry six months, at long last the autumnal rains have arrived
The sun is markedly lower now, and it disappears behind the hills by 16:15, however it is still warm and pleasant working outside.
The leaves are really starting to take on their autumn hues; at least those trees here which are deciduous.
On my trip to the mainland this week, I came back with come nice garden plants
The September equinox heralds the approach of winter, so preparation is the order of the day.
The start of the autumn rains together with warm soil and a warm sun encourage plants to grow and flower.
